[단시] Feeling the Summer Breeze

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

나 이제 일어나 가리라, 이니스프리로 가리라.
거기 욋가지 엮어 진흙 바른 작은 오두막을 짓고,
아홉 이랑 콩밭과 꿀벌통 하나
벌들이 윙윙대는 숲 속에서 나 혼자 살리라.

예이츠의 이니스프리 정작 가 보면 초라한 섬
유토피아가 이 세상엔 없어도 누구나 꿈꾸듯
현실은 각박해도 상상 속에선 아늑한 행복의 낙원

 

Even if Yeats praised Isle of Innisfree,
It looks humble in reality.
Utopia cannot exist in this world, tho’.
Everyone dreams of it.
I imagine today looking for a Paradise
Out of choking hardships.

 

바람에
살랑이는
나뭇잎 새로
비치는 햇살

Thru the green foliage,
Along with bright sunshine,
Summer  breeze  is  blowing.

엊그제 피고 지던 꽃잎은 간데없고
밤새워 솟아오른 그리움만 파릇파릇
어디다 감출 곳 없어 바람결에 내민 가슴

Yesterday's flowers are gone
Longing for green thru the night.
They embrace wind nowhere to hide.

 

초여름
뜨거운 햇살
꽃진 자리에 쑥쑥 크는 열매

In early Summer,
Warm sunshine makes
Fruits grow fast where flowers were gone.

가을 열매는
역경 헤치며 살아 온
우리 모습

Fruits of autumn
Resemble human lives
How we've survivied well hard times.

 

How many haikus have I created until now? 지금까지 써 온 하이쿠가 117수에 달한다고?

I came to know the number of Korean/English haikus as stated above is more than one hundred.
