[Dinner] Year-end Meeting at the Nodeul Island

Since 1978 when we joined the Korea Development Bank (KDB), we, KDB 78 members, have had  meetings for luncheon or dinner. After retirement, it has been fixed to a monthly get-together.
In December 2019, the special venue was chosen to celebrate the year end.

 

It was Pizza Sound Restaurant located at the Nodeul Island of Han River.

The Island can be easily accessed either on foot from Nodeul Station of No. 9 Metro Line or by bus from Shin Yongsan Station of No. 4 Metro Line.

At the Nodeul Island, there are a concert hall, restaurants and a skate ice link (in winter). 

 

December 27 is the last day of 2019 weekdays.
So many KDB 78 members were absent that day. We were enjoying the night view of the No. 1 Han River Bridge and the riverside buildings while eating salad, pizza and pasta noodles with red wine.

 

While walking to Nodeul Station at the southern part of the bridge, surprisingly we talked about what should be done for a climber of the iron arch to jump into the Han River.

We reached a conclusion that it's an impossible job because the sidewalk is too wide to conduct a death-leap from the top of the arch.

Many people have crossed the river 
that runs thru ups and downs of Korea.
For what purpose are you standing here?

 

The owner of Pizza Sound was so kind that we were given two rolls of Magic Gimbap (마녀김밥) for free. It was a good luncheon the next day.

In the forest, a few leafs were hung at trees just like the remaining calendar page on the wall.
