[Travel] Video clips around Lake Baikal

In summer of 2019, I was traveling by train from Irkutsk to Ulan-Ude.

The landscape beyond the train windows was quickly changing.

 

 

When you have a journey over the Trans-Siberian Railway, be sure to take your ticket of sleeping compartment and passport with your embarkation card (출국카드) inside. 

You are also required to pay attention to the bold print (아래사진에서 진한 활자로 인쇄된 7.25. 14:54 출발 03K호차 10번 침대 위칸) on your railway ticket.

On board the train, passenger tickets are collected by the conductor in charge and then will be returnd after a few hours.

 

 

Can you imagine how the spellbinding sunset at Lake Baikal long time ago fascinated a Korean novelist Lee Gwang-su and encouraged him to create a beautiful but sad love story "Platonic Love" (유정/有情)?

겨울 석양이 비쳤소.
눈을 인 나지막한 산들이
지는 햇빛에 자줏빛을 발하고 있소.

It's amazing to hear the introductory music of "Blood Type'' sung by Korean-Russian Victor Tsoi.

Do you want to see the changing appearances of Cape Burkhan (i.e., Shaman's Rock) on Lake Baikal?

While lake gulls are flying over the cruise boat, controversial Shaman's Rock stands still with the sound of "Hymn" composed and performed by Bill Douglas.
